Nummular dermatitis ત્વચાની એક સ્થિતિ છે જે ખંજવાળ, સિક્કાના આકારના લાલ પ્લાક્સ દ્વારા ચિહ્નિત થાય છે. તે ત્વચાની અન્ય સમસ્યાઓ જેમ કે એટોપિક ડર્મેટાઇટિસ (atopic dermatitis) અથવા એસ્ટિયાટોટિક એક્ઝીમા (asteatotic eczema) સાથે પણ દેખાઈ શકે છે. સદભાગ્યે, તે સામાન્ય રીતે યોગ્ય સારવારથી સારી પ્રતિક્રિયા આપે છે. કોર્ટેકોસ્ટેરોઇડ ધરાવતી ક્રીમનો ઉપયોગ સામાન્ય રીતે રાહત આપે છે, અને ઘણી વાર દર્દીઓ અંતે સ્વસ્થ થઈ જાય છે. Nummular dermatitis ને ન્યુમ્યુલર એક્ઝીમા (nummular eczema), ડિસ્કોઇડ એક્ઝીમા (discoid eczema) અથવા માઇક્રોબાયલ એક્ઝીમા (microbial eczema) પણ કહી શકાય.
Nummular dermatitis is a pruritic eczematous dermatosis characterized by multiple coin-shaped lesions. It may occur as a feature of atopic dermatitis, asteatotic eczema, or stasis dermatitis. The prognosis of this condition is excellent. Most cases can be treated successfully with conservative measures and topical corticosteroids, and a majority of patients will eventually achieve remission. Nummular dermatitis may also be referred to as nummular eczema, discoid eczema, and microbial eczema.

એક 23 વર્ષીય મહિલા તેનાં જમણા પગમાં ખંજવાળ, ઝરતા ઘા સાથે આવી હતી જે તેનાં લગભગ એક મહિના સુધી પરેશાન કરતી હતી. તેણીએ ખંજવાળ પછી શરૂ થયું. તેણીએ કોઈપણ એલર્જીનો ઉલ્લેખ કર્યો ન હતો. ડૉક્ટરે ગોળાકાર, લાલ પેચવાળી શુષ્ક ત્વચા મળી કે જે પીળાશ પડતા પ્રવાહીને વહી રહી હતી અને જમણા પગની આગળની ટિબિયલ (right anterior tibial) ક્ષેત્રમાં કેટેલાક પોપડા હતા. તેઓએ તેનુ nummular (coin‑shaped) or discoid eczema  તરીકે નિદાન કર્યું. તેણીને કોર્ટિકોસ્ટેરોઇડ ક્રીમ અને એન્ટિબાયોટિક ગોળી આપવામાં આવી હતી.
A 23-year-old female presented with a 1-month history of a pruritic weeping lesion on her right leg, which started after scratching over this pruritic area. She did not mention any specific allergy. Examination revealed dry skin with round erythematous plaque with yellowish oozing and crusting over the right anterior tibial region. A clinical diagnosis of nummular (coin shaped) or discoid eczema was made. Treatment with a topical corticosteroid and an oral antibiotic was initiated which improved her symptoms.
