Ny fandoroana ambony (ambaratonga voalohany) dia tsy misy fiantraikany amin’ny hoditra ambony ihany. Ireo may ireo dia toa mavokely na mena, tsy miforona, maina, ary mety maharary. Matetika izy ireo dia sitrana ao anatin’ny 5 ka hatramin’ny 10 andro nefa tsy misy fery. Ny may amin’ny ambaratonga faharoa, antsoina koa hoe doro ny hatevin’ny ampahany ambony, dia misy fiantraikany amin’ny sosona ambony amin’ny faritra lalina amin’ny hoditra. Matetika dia miseho ny vesika (blisters) ary mety hijanona rehefa hita voalohany. Aorian’ny fisokafan’ny blister, dia mena na mavokely mitovy ny hoditra ao ambany ary ho fotsy rehefa voatsindry. Maharary ireo may ireo. Matetika dia sitrana ao anatin’ny 2 ka hatramin’ny 3 herinandro, ary misy holatra kely indrindra. Ny fandoroana lalina amin’ny hatevin’ny hoditra dia misy fiantraikany amin’ny sosona lalina kokoa. Sahala amin’ny may ambony, dia mety hisy vesika (blisters) tsy misy fanafintohina. Rehefa esorina ny blisters, dia miloko tsy mitovy ny hoditra ao ambany ary lasa fotsy tsikelikely rehefa voatsindry. Maharary ireo may ireo, ka mahatsapa fanaintainana kely, indrindra rehefa misy tsindry lalina. Mety ho sitrana tsy mila fandidiana ireo may ireo, saingy maharitra ela kokoa ary mety hihena ny holatra.
A superficial (first-degree) burn involves the epidermis only. These burns can be pink-to-red, without blistering, are dry, and can be moderately painful. Superficial burns heal without scarring within 5 to 10 days. A second-degree burn, also known as a superficial partial-thickness burn, affects the superficial layer of the dermis. Blisters are common and may still be intact when first evaluated. Once the blister is unroofed, the underlying wound bed is homogeneously red or pink and will blanch with pressure. These burns are painful. Healing typically occurs within 2 to 3 weeks with minimal scarring. A deep partial-thickness burn involves the deeper reticular dermis. Similar to superficial partial-thickness burns, these burns can also present with blisters intact. Once the blisters are debrided, the underlying wound bed is mottled and will sluggishly blanch with pressure. The patient with a partial-thickness burn experiences minimal pain, which may only be present with deep pressure. These burns can heal without surgery, but it takes longer, and scarring is unavoidable.

Ny ankamaroan'ny may dia kely ary azo tsaboina ao an-trano na amin'ny mpitsabo eo an-toerana, tsy mila miditra hopitaly. Na izany aza, ity toko ity dia hiresaka manokana momba ny fikarakarana sy fitsaboana haingana ny may mafy. (Raha mila fanazavana fanampiny dia jereo ny fizarana momba ny Burns, Evaluation and Management, ary Burns, Thermal.)
Most burns are small and are treated at home or by local providers as outpatients. This chapter will focus on the initial resuscitation and management of severe burns. (Also see Burns, Evaluation and Management and Burns, Thermal).

Ny ratra may dia matetika atao tsinontsinona, nefa mety hiteraka fahavoazana lehibe sy fahafatesana mihitsy aza. Ny fandoroana mafy dia miteraka fanehoan‑kevitra sarotra ao amin'ny vatana, anisan'izany ny valin'ny hery fiarovana, ny fiovan'ny metabolika, ary ny fahatairana, izay mety ho sarotra tsaboina ary mety hiafara amin'ny tsy fahombiazan'ny taova maro.
Burn injuries are under-appreciated injuries that are associated with substantial morbidity and mortality. Burn injuries, particularly severe burns, are accompanied by an immune and inflammatory response, metabolic changes and distributive shock that can be challenging to manage and can lead to multiple organ failure.
Ny may tsy misy fiantraikany amin’ny hoditra ambony ihany dia antsoina hoe dorana ambony na mari‑pahaizana voalohany. Miseho mena tsy misy blisters izy ireo ary maharitra telo andro eo ho eo ny fanaintainana.
Rehefa miitatra amin’ny soson’ny hoditra sasany ny ratra, dia antsoina hoe dorana ampahany na mari‑pahaizana faharoa. Misy matetika ny blisters ary tena maharary. Ny fanasitranana dia mety mitaky hatramin’ny valo herinandro ary mety hiseho ny ratra.
Amin’ny fahamaizana feno na mari‑pahaizana fahatelo, ny ratra dia miitatra amin’ny soson’ny hoditra rehetra. Matetika tsy misy fanaintainana ary mafy ny faritra may.
Ny may amin’ny ambaratonga fahefatra dia miteraka ratra amin’ny tavy lalina kokoa, toy ny hozatra, tendons, na taolana. Matetika, ny may dia mainty ary mitarika amin’ny fahaverezan’ny faritra may.
○ Fitsaboana – Fanafody OTC
Tena zava‑dehibe ny tsy hanapaka ny blisters amin’ny faritra may. Tsara ny manary ny serum ao anaty blister. Tandremo mba tsy hihatra amin’ny blister ny gauze na akanjo ka hanimba na hanesorana azy.
Sarony amin’ny fehy madio ny may mba hiarovana ny faritra voakasika. Raha efa nipoitra ny blisters, dia tokony hampiasaina ny antibiotika topical na Silver sulfadiazine 1% cream (Silmazine). Makà NSAID, acetaminophen, ary antihistamines OTC mba hampihenana ny fivontosana sy ny fanaintainana.
