Digital mucous cyst ହାତରେ ବାରମ୍ବାର ଦେଖାଯାଉଥିବା ଏକ ପ୍ରକାର ଗ୍ୟାଙ୍ଗ୍ଲିଅନ୍ (ganglion) | ଗ୍ୟାଙ୍ଗ୍ଲିଅନ୍ ହେଉଛି ଏକ କୋମଳ ତନ୍ତୁ ଟ୍ୟୁମର୍ (soft tissue tumor) ଯାହା ଏକ ସନ୍ଧି (joint) କିମ୍ବା ଟେଣ୍ଡନ୍ (tendon) ପାଖରେ ମିଳିଥାଏ | ଡିଜିଟାଲ୍ ମ୍ୟୁକସ୍ ସିଷ୍ଟ (Digital mucous cyst) ଡିଷ୍ଟାଲ୍ ଇଣ୍ଟରଫାଲାଞ୍ଜିଆଲ୍ ସନ୍ଧି (DIP joint) ର ପଛରୁ ବିକଶିତ ହୁଏ | ଏହି ସିଷ୍ଟ ପ୍ରାୟତଃ ଅନ୍ତର୍ନିହିତ DIP ସନ୍ଧିର ଅସ୍ଥି ଆର୍ଥ୍ରାଇଟିସ୍ (osteoarthritis) ସହିତ ବିଦ୍ୟମାନ |
Digital mucous cysts are a type of ganglion commonly found on the hand. A ganglion is a soft tissue tumor that is found next to a joint or tendon. A digital mucous cyst is a ganglion that arises from the dorsum of the distal interphalangeal joint (DIP joint). Digital mucous cysts commonly have an association with underlying DIP joint osteoarthritis.
