Nummular dermatitis ଏକ ଚର୍ମର ଅବସ୍ଥା, ଏହା କୁଞ୍ଚିତ, ମୁଦ୍ରା ଆକୃତିର ପ୍ୟାଚ୍ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଚିହ୍ନିତ | ଏହା ଆଟୋପିକ୍ ଡର୍ମାଟାଇଟିସ୍ (atopic dermatitis) କିମ୍ବା ଶୁଖିଲା ଚର୍ମ ଏକଜେମା (asteatotic eczema) ପରି ଅନ୍ୟ ଚର୍ମ ସମସ୍ୟା ସହିତ ଦେଖାଇପାରେ | ଖୁସିର କଥା, ଏହା ସାଧାରଣତ ଚିକିତ୍ସା (treatment) ପାଇଁ ଭଲ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ଦେଇଥାଏ | କର୍ଟିକୋଷ୍ଟେରଏଡ (corticosteroid) ଧାରଣ କରିଥିବା କ୍ରିମ୍ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିବା ଦ୍ ରାହତ (relief) ାରା ସାଧାରଣତ ରାହତ (relief) ଆରାମ ମିଳିଥାଏ, ଅନେକ ରୋଗୀ ଶେଷରେ ଭଲ ହୋଇଯାଆନ୍ତି | Nummular dermatitis ଏହାକୁ ନମ୍ମୁଲାର୍ ଏକଜେମା (nummular eczema), ଡିସକଏଡ୍ ଏକଜେମା (discoid eczema) କିମ୍ବା ମାଇକ୍ରୋବାୟଲ୍ ଏକଜେମା (microbial eczema) ମଧ୍ୟ କୁହାଯାଇପାରେ |
Nummular dermatitis is a pruritic eczematous dermatosis characterized by multiple coin-shaped lesions. It may occur as a feature of atopic dermatitis, asteatotic eczema, or stasis dermatitis. The prognosis of this condition is excellent. Most cases can be treated successfully with conservative measures and topical corticosteroids, and a majority of patients will eventually achieve remission. Nummular dermatitis may also be referred to as nummular eczema, discoid eczema, and microbial eczema.

ଜଣେ 23 ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କା ମହିଳା ତାଙ୍କ ଡାହାଣ ଗୋଡ଼ରେ ଘା ’ହୋଇ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଅନୁଭବ କରି ଆସିଥିଲେ, ଯାହା ତାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାୟ ଏକ ମାସ ଧରି ହଇରାଣ କରୁଥିଲା | ସେ ଏହି ଅଞ୍ଚଳକୁ ସ୍କ୍ରାଚ୍ କରିବା ପରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥିଲା | ସେ କ any ଣସି ଆଲର୍ଜି ବିଷୟରେ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖ କରିନାହାଁନ୍ତି | ଡାକ୍ତର ଏକ ଗୋଲାକାର, ନାଲି ରଙ୍ଗର ପ୍ୟାଚ୍ ସହିତ ଶୁଖିଲା ଚର୍ମ ପାଇଲେ ଯାହା ହଳଦିଆ ରଙ୍ଗର ତରଳ ପଦାର୍ଥକୁ ବାହାର କରୁଥିଲା ଏବଂ ତା ଉପରେ କିଛି କ୍ରସ୍ ରହିଥାଏ, ଠିକ୍ ତାଙ୍କ ଶିନ୍ ଆଗରେ | ସେମାନେ ଏହାକୁ nummular (coin‑shaped) or discoid eczema ବୋଲି ଚିହ୍ନଟ କଲେ | ତାଙ୍କୁ ଏକ corticosteroid cream (corticosteroid cream) ଏବଂ antibiotic ointment (antibiotic ointment) ଦିଆଯାଇଥିଲା |
A 23-year-old female presented with a 1-month history of a pruritic weeping lesion on her right leg, which started after scratching over this pruritic area. She did not mention any specific allergy. Examination revealed dry skin with round erythematous plaque with yellowish oozing and crusting over the right anterior tibial region. A clinical diagnosis of nummular (coin shaped) or discoid eczema was made. Treatment with a topical corticosteroid and an oral antibiotic was initiated which improved her symptoms.
