Telangiectasia são pequenos vasos sanguíneos dilatados que podem ocorrer próximos à superfície da pele ou mucosas, medindo entre 0,5 e 1 milímetro de diâmetro. Esses vasos sanguíneos dilatados podem se desenvolver em qualquer parte do corpo, mas são comumente vistos no rosto, ao redor do nariz, bochechas e queixo.

Flash-lamp pulsed dye laser (FPDL) é agora amplamente reconhecido como o laser mais preciso disponível para o tratamento de problemas vasculares de nível superficial.
